As a non-profit organization we depend upon you to maintain flow through the Museum and to supervise the students to ensure safety. Below please find the things you are asked to do on your visit with us.
Museum Program
30 or 45-minute educational program, on the Lower Level.

Churchill Downs Tour & Museum Barn Visit
A walking tour of Churchill Downs and a visit with a retired Thoroughbred and companion animal.
- PLEASE KEEP YOUR GROUP TOGETHER
Exhibits
30 to 45 minutes in the exhibits; when you are most needed.
- PLEASE HELP ASSURE THAT STUDENTS:
- Walk, talk quietly, stay with your group and use exhibits correctly to provide for the safety of all visitors.
- Use their exhibits guide (Roses and Riders) to be engaged to control behavior and encourage learning.
- Have fun because that's what the Derby is about! Remind students that they can have fun and behave appropriately so that everyone has a good visit today.
The Greatest Race
17-minute, 360-degree, high-definition film about the Derby in the Great Hall.
- PLEASE ENSURE STUDENTS SIT ON THE FLOOR, SIT UP AND USE SOFT VOICES
(Students should save the stools for visitors who need to use them.)
